Come share the experience with your child in Family Yoga!
The word yoga means "to join." In class, we will focus on connecting or joining together our mind, our body and our breath. Each class will have a similar structure to create a sense of continuity from class to class. We’ll work out the wiggles with Energy Games, slow down and center with Breathing Exercises. We’ll explore nature through yoga poses and through storytelling, and foster individual expression through sharing, music and quiet games. There will be opportunities to work together in partner games and circle games, and to share individual thoughts with the rest of the class. Each class will explore a different theme or journey, whether it is going on an African safari, enjoying a nighttime camping trip in our own backyard or working together to create shapes, numbers or explore letters of the alphabet. Come enjoy a class that celebrates the wonders of childhood imagination with the physical and emotional benefits of working with the body, breath and mind through yoga.
Family Yoga- children ages 3-5 years and their accompanying grown up(s):
In this class, we nurture the relationship you have with your child focusing on working together, helping one another and recognizing one another with gratitude. Family Yoga is a playful way to release feelings while improving physical coordination and the ability to focus. Through yoga we can feel our strength on the inside as well as the outside, experience balance in and out of the yoga room, and share and express ourselves through words and movement.
